IS SMARTPHONE MORE DARLING THAN A KID FOR PARENTS TODAY?

Gone are the days when people didn’t have smart phones. People had sufficient time for their friends, visitors, family members and most importantly for their kids. Imagine how joyful it was when we were raised by our parents in such environment where so many stories were told about nature such as moon, sun, stars etc.

There were no happier moments for kids than listening to the stories of full moon sitting under the lap of mother under beautiful full moonlight. How many children today get to listen such stories? The world has changed into a competitive globe; everybody is busy in his or her own world. Children today grow in distance from their parents as being modern parents they don’t have enough time to spend with their children.

Some parents are occupied in their professional works and those who don’t have works; they have their smart phones to remain busy and engaged chatting with others leaving their kids away. We are blessed that we had parents and we grew up getting immeasurable amount of attention and love from our mother.

In fact, a mother loves her phone more than her kid today and today kids also understand the love and affection shown by their mother to them are only for namesake. They always find them holding phones, looking at it or listening to music etc. The kids too have emotion and few of them express frustration either by crying, sitting with sadness and how pathetic that they are not getting the attention they deserve at their tender age.

Some parents end up doing a lot of blunders as they remain occupied most of the times in their phones and become mentally so tired that they don’t want to do anything. When child cries for something, they outburst shouting to the kid and who knows how a child would feel. So, it is very important on the part of the parents not to let their kids feel neglected, ignored, overpowered and even bullied.

There are so many ways to reconcile or persuade a child positively rather than appearing repulsive and abusive.
